Organizations

Probara is multi-tenant: every project, suite, and test case belongs to exactly one organization. Data never crosses organizations.

Create an organization

On first login without a membership, onboarding lets you create an organization with a name. You become owner.

Switch active organization

Use the organization switcher in the avatar menu. The app reloads context for the selected organization and remembers it for your session.

Roles (summary)

RoleTypical access
ownerFull control, including membership and invitations
adminManage members and invitations
memberCreate and edit test assets
viewerRead-only access

Exact permissions follow server rules; when in doubt, ask an owner in your workspace.

Suspended organizations

Probara staff can suspend an organization — most commonly for non-payment. A suspended organization is read-only, not walled off:

  • You can still sign in, and the organization is shown as suspended.
  • You can still read everything — projects, suites, test cases, runs, milestones, defects, and the platform log stay fully visible.
  • You can still export. A suspended organization’s data remains yours to download at any time, in every supported format.
  • Every other action is refused. Creating, editing, deleting, or otherwise changing anything in a suspended organization returns an error until the organization is reactivated. This includes API and MCP integrations using an existing token — suspension takes effect immediately, without waiting for a token to expire or revoking it.

Reactivation is handled by Probara staff once the underlying issue (typically an unpaid invoice) is resolved. Contact support if your organization is suspended and you believe this is an error, or once payment has been settled.
